Hi buddy, nice work with the film sims. I tried few of your free sims amd they worked great.
I just had a small question can we replicate S-cinetone in a6600. I found out one of your post regarding this, but there you shared config for a7m3 and rx100, can u help me with exact recepie for a6600.
In genral i dont want to use any film like look, i just want to have more vibrant and punchier colour for jpegs.
Thanks
Hi! While it won’t be a perfect match, the “Still” color mode is the closest you’ll get to S-Cinetone. I haven’t personally tested the a6600, but based on user photos, its color profile is similar to the a7III, which tends to have a stronger magenta cast. You can use the same settings for both cameras.
If your goal is to get a great-looking image straight out of camera (SOOC), I recommend selecting the “Still” color mode, then adjusting the Color Phase to +2 or +3 and increasing the Saturation to your liking.
For the Gamma setting, choose based on the look and dynamic range you want:
Still – Delivers the highest contrast.
Movie – Offers softer contrast compared to Still.
Cine Gammas – Mimic the look of film, with very soft contrast and increased dynamic range.
S-Log2 – Produces the softest image and provides the widest dynamic range.
Feel free to experiment with these settings to find what works best for your style!
